JURASSIC PARK

Last October, I attended the first ever TBD Fest in Sacramento. I was impressed with this little music festival's debut. Small in scale, but big in production. It also didn't hurt that I had VIP passes. However, because I waited too long to buy merchandise, they sold out of Smalls in their t-shirts. What is a boy to do? Improvise. I decided to buy the larger one and just cut off the sleeves and wear it as a muscle tee.

Beautiful Lake Merritt in Oakland. A gem of the East Bay. :-)

Leaving the beautiful lake behind, I ventured into West Oakland and found a dinosaur.

I doubt that I would actually stand this still if there was an actual predatory creature behind me.

After really liking how this DYI muscle-tee came out, I can't wait to see what other music festival t-shirts I can convert. :-)

TBD Shirt: TBD Fest T-shirt converted Muscle Tee.
Jeans: Levi's 510
Sunglasses: RayBan's.

BLUE MONDAY

It may not be Monday anymore, but these pictures were taken then. Because blue is my favorite color, I wanted to feature it in my first blog post of the year.

Walking the streets of West Oakland provided the perfect setting for some great shots!

West Oakland may get a bad rep, but I love my Oakland! <3

Yes, I decided to change pants midway through the shoot. But the black pants went better with the outfit. One can simply not go wrong with black. ... And let me just say, that changing between skinny jeans in the backseat of a car is no easy feat! #thestruggleisreal

West Oakland has some rad graffiti. Can't wait to keep exploring as the year continues.

The following blue graffiti piece is my favorite. I could not stop smiling after I spotted it. It has so many of my favorite things: blue, geometric shapes, triangles, blue, black, and blue!!! :-)

In love with that mural!!!!

Shirt: Gap
Pants: Levi's 510 ... the most comfortable and form-fitting jeans I own.
Shoes: Nike Flex Run 2014
Sunnies: Banana Republic
