XYLAPHONE | david andrew sitek feat. tinashe

Even though this track was released earlier this year, it is necessary that I write about it still. It is so good. It reminds me of the music that Tinashe was self-releasing through her EPs Reverie, In Case We Die,  and Black Water. It has her breathy vocals, sultry lyrics, and alt-r&b beats. There's something very seductive about this track. Together, these are all the things that made me fall in love with her.

I only wish her album debut-album Aquarius was more like this. Less hip-hop, more alt-r&b. But I must say: I love love "How Many Times."

LOSING MY MIND | kiesza

After delivering the upbeat tracks "Hideaway" and "Giant in my Head," Canadian singer-songwriter Kiesza goes slow for her new song "Losing My Mind." Just as she is able to make me jump off my seat and dance with her 90s house-influence music, she can also make me sway to her 90s hip-hip-infused slow-jam.

I can already see my guy and I grooving to this song in the kitchen while preparing dinner. The track is too good not to groove to with a partner - hips to hips, staring into each other's eyes, and letting the beat move you. Or is that just me?

CHASING TIME | azealia banks

As a follow up to "Heavy Metal and Reflective," Azealia Banks has just given us "Chasing Time." And it's amazing! With its heavy house influence, the new track seems like an extension from her 1991 EP (which I loved). "Chasing Time" reminds us why we fell in love with her in the first place.

Azealia Banks shows off her artistic versatility --- she raps, she sings, and she makes us groove along to every beat & word. I am really digging the 90s house production of the track. She certainly knows how to choose her producers. It's such a cleanly produced track that I am hoping this will propel Banks to mainstream radio airplay. Yes, I still have faith that her much delayed Broke With Expensive Taste LP will one day see the light of day. #ibelieve
