Even though this track was released earlier this year, it is necessary that I write about it still. It is so good. It reminds me of the music that Tinashe was self-releasing through her EPs Reverie, In Case We Die,  and Black Water. It has her breathy vocals, sultry lyrics, and alt-r&b beats. There's something very seductive about this track. Together, these are all the things that made me fall in love with her.

I only wish her album debut-album Aquarius was more like this. Less hip-hop, more alt-r&b. But I must say: I love love "How Many Times."

2 WEEKS | FKA TWIGS

Last night on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," FKA Twigs had her US television debut. And, her performance was everything. Everything, I repeat.

Trained as a professional dancer, FKA Twigs knows how to tie in movement very well into her performance. She's shown us again and again how well she can dance, and in last night's performance she delivered once more. While fabric danced in the air beautifully behind/with her, she sang "Two Weeks" from her debut studio album LP1. That decision could have easily backfired, by running the risk of getting herself caught in the fabric. However, FKA Twigs executed it magically. 

Watch for yourself. 

As Coachella 2015 lineup predictions continue to be speculated about, I would like to see her perform in Indio next year. I beg of you, mighty music gods, to please bring her to Coachella 2015.

new track thursday | "share it all" by jessie ware

 After releasing "Tough Love" a few weeks ago, Jessie Ware has now followed that up with a new track. "Share it All" is the newly released track that will appear on the deluxe edition of her forthcoming LP Tough Love, set to be released later this year. 

Her latest track is smooth and sultry, as Ware sings of her romanticism over soft R&B beats. She knows what kind of love she is after and is quite direct in asking for it:

"Could you share it all with me? 

And I'll share it all with you"

In my opinion, I prefer this track to her previously released "Tough Love." "Share it All" seems to have more personality -- is more dynamic, and less flat. It is a beautiful track about negotiating the terms of a relationship, without compromising their love. After all, sharing is caring. And more importantly, show her, don't tell her.

introducing | kwamie liv

Hailing from Copenhagen, Kwamie Liv first entered the music scene with her single "5 AM."

5 AM has been very much well received by music bloggers and critics alike. Can you blame them though? She does alt R&B so well. Her work on 5 AM sounds as if it were a collaboration between the Weeknd and BANKS. And, did you pick up on the Lana-esque of the song? I sure did.

Speaking of the Weeknd, Kwamie Liv even released a cover of "What you need."

Oh yeah, that right there is hipster baby-making music. 

Now, she is back with "Follow You."

The music video like the song is not over-thought - the magic lies in its simplicity. "Follow you" is a great follow-up single to 5 AM. I especially like when she breaks rhythm at 3:24, and serves a little freestyle. As she continues to experiment with her sound, Kwamie will further develop herself as an artist to watch. Keep your eyes and ears on her, people. 

Also, check out her style in that video. Girl is on point. She is beautiful and beautifully plays with the camera gaze. As the camera simply follows her walking through a tunnel in Copenhagen, Kwamie flirts with it. Even when her hair masks part of her face, she makes it look good. The video is all one take, after all.

Kwamie Liv is set to release her debut album later this fall.
