HAPPY PRIDE, everyone! Let the festivities begin.

The latest album release by Colombian group Bomba Estereo is an explosion of vibrant rhythm and sound. The track "Fiesta" is a good example of why their music has been described as "psychedelic cumbia." It combines the cultural characteristics of both into beautiful danceable music.

Take a look at those visuals, those costumes, those colors! Imagine that at a music festival. I highly suggest they be on the line-up for next year's Coachella and/or Treasure Island Music Festival. They would be perfect.

For now, I will get to see them play at the New Parish in Oakland on Monday, July 20th.

on repeat | "la la la" by shakira

"Si deveras me quieres, como yo te quiero 

Ven besame ahora, y besame luego"

With "La la la," Shakira gets us ready for the weekend. Serving as the third official single from her album Shakira, the song starts strong and stays strong throughout. Like with many of her songs produced in both English and Spanish, I tend to prefer the latter. With the Spanish version, her voice simply flows better with the rapid rhythm of the song.

Since its first listen, "La la la" has stayed on repeat mode. Because I cannot stop moving while listening to it, I've convinced my friends to go out dancing tonight. SF, here we come!
