introducing // elliphant

It's time to talk about the Elliphant in the room. 

Her Look Like You Love It EP was just released a few hours ago. And featuring collaborations with Diplo, Dr. Luke, and Skrillex, do yourself the favor and listen to it.

Hailing from Stockholm, Sweeden, Elliphant (born Ellinor Olovsdotter) "[sounds] like the twisted illegitimate offspring of MIA and Diplo – as deliciously fierce as the former but as intelligently playful as the latter."

In 2012, she released "Tekkno Scene" featuring Adam Kanyama. As an Elliphant dressed as a tiger, she sings the night away at an underground club celebrating the animal spirit. Accept her invitation to the dance floor, and move with that catchy beat.

Further into the animal madness we go, with Elliphant's video for "In the Jungle."
I only wish the song was longer. At barely 2 minutes in length, it cuts short the momentum it builds.

Elliphant samples classic hip-hop on "Music is Life."

Given what she's produced so far, I'm excited for her actual full-length album to be released. Also, I already picture her becoming part of the music festival circuit soon enough.
