Diplo and Miami-based DJ duo GTA have just released a little something to get us through the rest of the week. Fan-made Vines make up the music video for their collaboration on "Boy Oh Boy." And there's even a little Missy Elliott in there, if you can catch it.
By now, Diplo needs no introduction. And, GTA is on the rise to becoming another well-known name in the business. With #DeathtoGenres as their slogan, GTA experiments with sound and delivers dance floor rhythm composed of various genres: house, trap, salsa, cumbia, hip-hop, and anything else they desire.
I was first introduced to GTA during the Bumbershoot festival in Seattle last year, at the suggestion of my friend Graham. My friends and I enjoyed their live performance in Seattle so much that we decided to see them again last week at Ruby Skye in San Francisco. Again, they did not disappoint. With their carefully orchestrated production, GTA had everyone dancing past 2 in the morning.
